Skadovsk districy

The district is located in the western-southern part of Kherson region. It borders on Tsyurupyns’k district in the north, Kalanchak district in the east, Hola Prystan’ district in the west. In the south it is washed by the Black Sea.The district is associated with the center of recreational zone of Kherson region.
The district center itself is located on the Dzharylhach bay bank, waters of which are advantageous for children's health improving.
Tender sea waves, the warm southern sun, wholefood products work marvels. In summer thousands of children from all parts of Ukraine gather strength in the district. That's why conducting the festival «Chornomors’ki Dytyachi lhry» («Black Sea Children's Plays»), where new young talents appear, became popular here.

A lot of attention is paid to development of the tourism and health-improving complex in the district. Corresponding modern infrastructure is being created with this aim. The Black Sea coast zone comprises 70 km here. Holiday hotels, children's health-improving establishments, rest camps, tourist camps provide treatment and rest for almost 100 thousand citizens a year.
The agricultural sector is the leading one in the district. Grain farming, meat-dairy cattle-breeding are highly developed here. It allows satisfaction of requirements for wholefood products. The Krasnoznamyans’kyi canal - an embranchment of the Northern-Crimean canal favors growing stable yields.
The Sea Port, which has a ferry to the Turkish town Zonguldak, becomes an important transport center. It is a significant means of enlarging contacts with the outer world.
